I was born and baptized in Kalispell, Montana. I grew up at Camp Luther in Nebraska and Camp CILCA in Illinois where my parents served in ministry. These places gave me the perfect environment to explore my faith (and hundreds of acres of forest). I attended Lutheran High School in Springfield, Illinois before attending Valparaiso University in Indiana. After finishing my undergraduate studies, I enrolled in classes at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. I served in a yearlong vicarage (pastoral internship) in urban Baltimore, Maryland. After graduating from seminary, I returned to Maryland to serve as pastor of Advent Lutheran Church in Forest Hill. In October of 2020 I moved to northwestern Ohio to serve as pastor of St. John. I enjoy board gaming in the colder months and kayaking in the warmer months. Also, ask me about my experience going through several rounds of casting for Lego Masters.
